Ifeoma Nwahiri, the organization’s first female board chairman, has been chosen by Cutix Cables Plc to take over from the recently retiring Odi Nwosu.

Gilbert Obiajulu Uzodike established Cutix Plc in 1982 to specialise in the production and distribution of cables, wires, and associated goods for the electrical, automotive, and telecommunications industries.

Until 2011, when he retired from active work with Cutix Plc, the founder of the company served as both the Chief Executive Officer and the chairman of the board.

Nwosu presided over the business up until his departure on August 25, 2023.

Ifeoma Nwahiri has been “appointed as the new Board Chairman of the Company,” the business informed the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

It added, “The appointment is further to the retirement of the current Board Chairman, Amb. Odi Nwosu who will be proceeding on retirement having attained the retirement age in line with the Company’s Articles of Association.”

From 2005 to 2011, Nwahiri served as a director for Cutix Plc, and in 2016, she was re-appointed to the board as a non-executive director.

Since 2007, she has served as Laud Chambers’ principal partner.

From 2010 to 2014, the new chair served as managing director of Soul Mill Limited. From 2011 to 2013, she served as an Adswitch Plc Non-Executive Director.

On the basis of market capitalization and a share price of N2.4, Cutix Plc has increased in value to N8.45 billion.
