On Tuesday, some commercial banks in Lagos disobeyed the Nigeria Labour Congress’s request to stop providing services.

According to inspections, Access Bank, First Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), Zenith Bank, and Sterling Bank were among those that opened while clients were also seen at the various banks, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
The NAN correspondent has traveled to places like Ikorodu, Anthony, Maryland, Ojuelegba, and Iponri. Despite the rain, Mile 12 Market, Ketu Market, and Oyingbo Market were bustling hubs of activity.

Traders and buyers were seen transacting at the various markets while commercial transport operators were seen picking up passengers at various bus stops and motor parks.

NLC had declared a two-day nationwide strike on Sept. 5 and Sept. 6, over increasing hardship and suffering caused by the removal of fuel subsidy.
