The ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), which on Wednesday confirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election, has been accepted by the opposition parties, according to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Recall that a five-judge panel led by Justice Haruna Tsammani dismissed the petitions of presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Chichi Ojei of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), concluding that Tinubu had been legitimately elected.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Akpabio termed the court decision as an affirmation of the popular mandate of the Nigerian people for the Tinubu/Shettima ticket as expressed during the polls in February in a statement that was released on Thursday.
