REVEALED: Why Akeredolu Sacked His Deputy’s Media Aide’ – Source

The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has fired the media squad assigned to Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olabode Richard Olatunde, made the announcement in a statement headlined “Government House Media Team Rejigged.”

According to information obtained by Anaedoonline.ng, the media crew was fired amid concerns that the State Executive Council would be dissolved.

Some members of the state executive council have expressed concern about being fired since the governor returned last week.

In the meantime, the deputy governor’s assistants were being fired before the state executive Council might be dissolved.

According to a senior government official who spoke with Vanguard about the development, the aides were fired due to alleged insubordination and flagrant contempt for the proper authority.

The source claimed that while the governor was abroad in Germany on a medical vacation, one of the deputy governor’s assistants allegedly harassed him on WhatsApp and shared a screenshot with the governor’s pals.

The insider said that a different aide had participated in fabricating several allegations against the governor.

Kenneth Odusola, the governor’s press secretary, Oladipupo Okunniga, the special assistant to the governor for new media, and Samson Abayomi Adefolu, the special assistant to the governor for photography are among the impacted aides.
