Man Arrested for Killing Two Casual Workers for Money Ritual in Bauchi State

The Bauchi State Police Command has apprehended a 40-year-old man, Ibrahim Umar, in connection with the gruesome murder of two casual workers, Kabiru Idi and Bato Ali, in Gamawa Local Government Area of the state. The suspect allegedly committed the heinous act for money ritual purposes.

The arrest came after one Adamu Mohammed from Taranka village reported the disappearance of the victims, prompting the police to launch an investigation. Detectives quickly moved to the scene and arrested Ibrahim Umar.

During interrogation, Umar reportedly confessed to killing the two casual workers and burying their bodies in a shallow grave on the outskirts of the town. To add to the chilling details, a rubber gallon containing liquid substances suspected to be human blood was discovered at the suspect’s residence.

Contrary to some rumors circulating on social media, the Bauchi State Police Command clarified that there was no evidence to suggest that Umar engaged in cannibalism or consumed the victims’ body parts.

The Commissioner of Police in Bauchi State, CP Auwal Musa Muhammad, strongly condemned the brutal and inhumane act. He assured the public that justice would be served in this case.

The police called on parents, guardians, community leaders, and elders to maintain vigilance over the activities of their wards and communities. Such vigilance can help prevent and address potential criminal activities before they escalate.

The horrific incident serves as a reminder of the need for communities to work together to ensure the safety and security of all residents, and for law enforcement agencies to swiftly investigate and bring perpetrators of such crimes to justice.
