Horror in Rivers State AS Suspects Are Arrested for Murder and Organ Harvesting

The Rivers State Police Command has apprehended three individuals in connection with the murder of a young man named Progress Iyogo and the gruesome act of organ harvesting in the Ogbaraye community of Abua/Odual Local Government Area in the state.

According to a local source named Otuks, Progress, who worked as a motorcycle taxi rider and hailed from Aminigboko community, was transporting goods from Abua Central to his destination when the incident occurred.

Reportedly, an unidentified individual suspected to be involved in ritualistic activities had contracted a group of five young men to procure specific human body parts, offering a significant sum of over N2 million in return for their services.

The source revealed that the victim was tragically killed during his motorcycle trip, and certain body parts were removed from his body. The incident took place late at night along the Emebu/Obrean boundary. Following the crime, the suspects initially fled the scene, but subsequently, three of them were apprehended.

SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, confirmed the incident, stating that the three suspects responsible for the act have been taken into custody and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID).
