According to a 32-page report published on Monday night by Chicago State University (CSU), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the current president of Nigeria, is a woman.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, CSU eventually complied with a court order from the United States on Monday night that required it to give former vice president Atiku Abubakar access to the academic records of Nigeria’s president.
On the respective platforms of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku and Tinubu ran in the just ended presidential election.
Release Certificate To Atiku, Not Transcript, Gender, Others – Tinubu Asks Court
Despite this, Tinubu was declared the victor of the hotly contested election that took place on February 25 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Atiku filed a petition with the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal after being dissatisfied with the results, but Tinubu prevailed in court.
After a protracted legal struggle to investigate Tinubu’s academic credentials, Atiku won at the court and has subsequently gone to Nigeria’s Supreme Court to contest Tinubu’s victory.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Tinubu had shown INEC documents from Chicago State University to prove his eligibility to vote in the recently held election.
In addition to academic accomplishments, the gender of the Nigerian leader has been the subject of numerous disputes.
Court Orders Chicago State University to Release Bola Tinubu’s Studentship Record To Atiku
Tinubu’s academic records were released by CSU on Monday as sought by Atiku as a result of a US court order that was issued on Saturday. The documents obtained by this news outlet revealed that Tinubu is a female student named “Bola A. Tinubu.”
However, CSU highlighted that the same student, “Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” is a male in several parts of the paper, which appears to be contradictory. In certificates that were attached to the 32-page document, the university also used the pronoun ‘He’ as in male to refer to the student.
