Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, well known as MC Oluomo, has been unanimously chosen by the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) leadership to serve as the union’s acting South West chairman.
Akinsanya was named acting chairman of the South West by the union leadership on Thursday during the zonal conference held at the Zone 2 Council Secretariat in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State.
Akinsanya was appointed acting chairman of the zone by the union’s leadership until the election was held later this month.

The union pleaded with the governors of Osun, Ondo, and Oyo states—Ademola Adeleke, Rotimi Akeredolu, and Seyi Makinde—to allow the NURTW to resume its operations in their jurisdictions.
The zone will have the chance to submit candidates for the union’s national president who is zoned to the South West, according to the NURTW leadership.
