NDLEA Being Investigated Over Mohbad’s Death – Police

Idowu Owohunwa, the commissioner of police in Lagos State, claimed on Friday that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) is under investigation in connection with the death of late musician Mohbad, who was 27 years old.

This was disclosed by the police commissioner during a press conference on Friday.

Mohbad said, “They gave me water inside a white bottle to drink. They said I was using drugs. I was the only one who drank it, they didn’t give others to drink. And they immediately told me to go home and told the others to wait.

“They even hit a gun on my head. I saved Zino in that video but Zino snitched on me.”

The Commissioner of Police, while giving an update on the investigation around Mohbad’s death, said, “The NDLEA is also being investigated to see if they are complicit based on his video during the arrest.”

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried at Ikordodu, Lagos State.

Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and other people were detained by the state police command after the musician passed away.
