Gunmen Attack Kogi SDP Campaign Office, Party Accuse APC (Photos)

Once more, Murtala Ajaka’s campaign office in Kogi State has reportedly been stormed by gunmen who are supposedly affiliated with the party in power, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to information obtained by Anaedoonline.ng, an incident took place on Tuesday morning at the SDP campaign office located in the state’s Ofu Local Government Area.

This comes after some thugs who were allegedly affiliated with the APC terrorised and interrupted the SDP’s governorship campaign gathering in the state’s Ejule, Ofu local government area a few days prior.

During the previous incident, the thugs are alleged to have destroyed vehicles and other items worth millions of naira.

Pastor Sunday Atabo, the SDP’s Zonal Chairman, also asserted that his home and car were broken into on Saturday morning.

A witness who saw the current incident confirmed it and posted images of broken glass windows on social media. There were two ‘bullets’ that the gunmen allegedly utilised.

“MuriSam Campaign office Ofu Local Govt was attacked and glass windows destroyed by unknown gunmen suspected to be APC thugs.

“Glory be to God for the life of my family and I, as APC thugs shot sporadically in my house and destroyed all the glass windows,” the eyewitness shared on his Facebook page.

Since then, the SDP campaign council has urged President Bola Tinubu and the security services to act quickly to confront the drift in Kogi State before it threatens the state’s democracy.
