NIPOST Aims to Revolutionize International Passport Delivery through Collaboration with the Interior Ministry

The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) is poised for a groundbreaking transformation as it seeks to join forces with the Federal Ministry of Interior. The objective of this partnership is to utilize NIPOST’s extensive network and facilities for the efficient delivery of international passports and other critical documents, marking a significant step toward meeting the demands of the Nigerian populace.

Miss Tola Odeyemi, the Postmaster General of the Federation and CEO of NIPOST unveiled this visionary initiative during her courtesy visit to the Minister of Interior, Rt. Honourable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Abuja.

NIPOST envisions this collaboration as a catalyst for enhancing existing inter-agency cooperation by harnessing its vast network to provide e-fulfillment services throughout Nigeria. If successfully implemented, this partnership will satisfy the long-standing call from Nigerians to maximize the utility of NIPOST’s facilities.

Odeyemi’s three-point agenda for this collaboration focuses on three primary objectives: the delivery of critical documents, such as international passports, the utilization of selected NIPOST locations for backend services related to passport processing, and the implementation of NIPOST’s Address Verification System (AVS).
