Rivers Assembly Begins Impeachment Process Against Fubara

Siminalayi Fubara, the state governor, is the target of an impeachment procedure launched by the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The House of Assembly members started the impeachment procedure at the parliamentary building on Monday at around 8:00 a.m., according to TVC News.

It was also discovered that the notification of Fubara’s impeachment was signed by 24 of the 32 House members.

In addition, the assembly suspended four other legislators and the House Leader, Hon. Edison Ehie, for setting the House on fire.

It was learned that Ehie and four other parliamentarians were dismissed from office by 24 of the 32 lawmakers.
