Bandits Strike Again in Kaduna, Abduct 25, Injure Two, and Kill a Farmer

In yet another tragic incident in Kaduna State, bandits have targeted the community of Ungwan Baka in the Agunu Ward, Kachia Local Government Area. The armed bandits attacked the village during the early hours of the day, catching the residents while they were asleep. The attackers were reported to be armed with guns and machetes.

Incident Details:
  • Abduction: The bandits abducted around 25 individuals from the community. Their identities and fates remain uncertain.
  • Injuries: Two individuals were injured during the attack, and they were promptly rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
  • Fatal Casualty: Tragically, the bandits killed a farmer in the course of their attack, adding to the toll of violence in the region.
  • Community’s Appeal: A survivor of the attack, who wished to remain anonymous, shared the distressing details of the incident. They appealed for prayers for the safe return of those who were kidnapped and for the swift recovery of the injured. The survivor also mentioned that this was the third attack on their community.

The Kaduna State Police Command had not issued a statement in response to the incident at the time of the report. The recurring bandit attacks in Kaduna State continue to be a source of concern and emphasize the need for enhanced security measures in the region.
