No President Can Transform Nigeria In Four Or Eight Years- Sam Adeyemi

No politician can change Nigeria in four or eight years, according to well-known Nigerian priest Sam Adeyemi.

Adeyemi, the director of Daystar Christian Centre, made this claim during an appearance on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday morning. She also stressed the importance of talking about the kind of leadership that Nigerians want.

He said that talking about what Nigerians desire would then help to direct the actions of Nigerian politicians.

As President, I Will Discuss With Every Agitator – Peter Obi

“I would say the discussion needs to start with Nigerians, what kind of Nigeria do we want? we need to discuss it and we need to ask the people in leadership, in government to let us start from there. you do not build a house from the roof, lets discuss it. I remember 2014 we spent billions of naira having that discussion, the report is buried somewhere, we’ve not had the courage to discuss again,” the clergyman said.

“That is where to start from, If you do not agree on where you are going, any road will take you to where you are going and you should not complain if you find yourself in a jungle, lets discuss where we are going and that would be leadership from the level of the people, that would then give those who go into government what to do, just your own part, do the four years, eight years, move on leave the job to somebody else let them continue, nobody is going to transform Nigeria in four years or eight years we have to agree on that,” he added.

His statement coincides with the administration of President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to revive the flagging national economy.

Recall that throughout his presidential campaign, Tinubu, like other politicians, made a number of pledges intended to boost the nation’s economy. But even months into his presidency, Nigerians are still suffering greatly from the elimination of the fuel subsidy.
