Kafayat Adeleke, mother of Sultan Adeleke, also known as Eniola, a street hawker with a deformity, has shed light on the reasons behind her child’s decision to transform into a lady. Eniola’s story gained attention after a chance encounter with skit maker and comedian, Chukwuebuka Emmanuel, popularly known as Brain Jotter, who generously supported the young hawker.
In an interview with social media enthusiast Mr. LilGaga, Adeleke explained that her child’s deformity was present from birth and has been a source of surprise to those who encountered him. Eniola, who claims to be a makeup artist in addition to selling bottled water on Lagos highways, was recently gifted N400,000 by Brain Jotter, who praised her determination to succeed despite physical challenges.
The viral video caught the attention of singer Davido, who urged Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to assist Eniola since she hails from Osun. However, controversy ensued as some netizens claimed that Eniola was a boy disguised as a girl to elicit public sympathy.
Adeleke clarified that her child had been disguised as a girl in Osogbo since 2018. She revealed that in 2020, Eniola went to Lagos seeking help while presenting as a girl, a tactic to gain public support. Addressing claims that she intended to use her son for ritual purposes, Adeleke vehemently denied the allegations, inviting verification from those willing to visit Osogbo.

Eniola, in an Instagram Live session, confirmed that he is a boy and had adopted the appearance of a girl to garner assistance, citing the lack of support despite his challenges.
Adeleke shared pictures documenting Eniola’s deformity since birth and presented his birth certificate, dated September 23, 2005. She emphasized her love for him and clarified that she had never asked him for money until recently when his story garnered public attention.
