LP Accuses APC of Electoral Materials Hijacking in Imo State

Allegations of Electoral Materials Hijacking Stir Controversy in Imo State

Tensions are escalating in Imo State as the Labour Party makes serious accusations of electoral malpractice, claiming that electoral materials have been hijacked and diverted to unauthorized locations. The party alleges that this act was orchestrated by thugs affiliated with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In the Orlu Local Government Area, the Labour Party claims that materials designated for seven wards were taken by APC members and rerouted to the residence of the Traditional Ruler of Amaifeke community, Emmanuel Okeke. Meanwhile, in Okigwe, they assert that election materials were relocated to the local government secretariat, where only APC representatives are reportedly allowed.

Chibuikem, the spokesperson for the Labour Party governorship candidate, expressed concern over the reported incidents. He accused the APC of orchestrating the diversion and hijacking, raising questions about the integrity of the electoral process.
