UPDATE: SDP Calls For Cancellation Of Gov Election In Kogi Central

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has requested that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) invalidate the Kogi Central election results.

The SDP’s agent, David Edibo, stated in a letter to the State Returning Officer that his party did not recognise the outcome of the election in the five local government areas in the senatorial district.

Anaedoonline.ng understands that the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, and the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Usman Adodo, are both from Kogi Central.

However, the APC representative, Idris King, objected to the SDP plea once more.

Murtala Ajaka of the SDP, Leke Abejide of the African Democratic Party (ADC), Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Usman Ododo of the APC, an ex-Auditor General of Local Government in Kogi under Bello, are among the leading contestants in the November 11, 2023 election in Kogi.
