The 264 people who were evacuated by Air Peace and arrived in Jeddah from Kano State had their visas revoked. The President has responded to this development.

Recall that all 264 passengers who were carried by Air Peace to Saudi Arabia on Monday had their visas revoked upon their arrival by the country’s officials from Kano State.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Tope Ajayi, discussed the topic with newsmen on Monday night and stated that while the Presidency was aware of the situation, it had not yet obtained all the relevant information.

The presidential adviser went on to say that the Nigerian government and the administration are awaiting further information.

“I am aware of what happened, but the details are not yet available,” he stated. We’re waiting for further information on this.

Some aviation industry players blamed the development on geopolitics in an interview with the news platform.

They explained the move as an attempt to compel the Nigerian operator to leave the route in the event that the government acted, taking the principle of reciprocity.

Group Captain John Ojikutu, an industry specialist and the CEO of Centurion Aviation Security and Safety Consult, stated that the Saudis’ actions are unquestionably motivated by geopolitics and diplomacy.
