Reactions have followed organised labor’s suspension of a two-day nationwide strike by the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).

Following a joint meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) between its leaders and government representatives, including the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, organised labour called off the strike on Wednesday night, according to a report from Naija News.

A little after 7 p.m. on Wednesday, the concerned parties convened an emergency meeting in which state chapters and affiliates discussed the results of the meeting between Ribadu and organised labour leaders.
