Nnewi Vigilante Raid ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ Den, Arrests Over 30 Suspects (Pictures)

As part of its mission to prevent kidnappings, armed robberies, cybercrimes (Yahoo Yahoo), the exploitation of minors, and other crimes, the Nnewi Vigilante Service has started to execute Operation Sweep, a security plan in the city and environs.

Over thirty (30) alleged Yahoo boys and kidnappers reside in two buildings at Obiofia Nnewichi, where the operation began on Sunday with a raid. Following a successful operation, the suspects and a few young females who had allegedly been taken advantage of by them were apprehended.

Charms, cell phones, and dozens of SIM cards that the suspects supposedly used for their operations were also discovered during the raid.

The suspects have been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution. Also, the building where they live have been sealed by the Nnewi Vigilante Group in order to enable further investigation on the incident.
