In a recent address, Bola Ahmed Tinubu predicted that when certain regional refineries start producing petroleum products, the nation’s high fuel prices will soon drop.
“The current outrageous prices of fuel energy will be greatly reduced very soon as some of our local refineries start production,” he stated.
In the capacity of the Executive Secretary of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria, Professor Garba Sharubutu, he made this declaration at the 11th Convocation ceremony of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU).

He asked Nigerians for patience and support, stating that his administration was conscious of the current state of the nation’s economic suffering and insecurity.
Additionally, he disclosed that a portion of the supplemental budget that the Parliament had authorised would be allocated towards crucial parts of the agriculture industry interventions.
In order to address the issues of food scarcity and collaborate with private organisations to expand the results of agricultural research, Tinubu also urged the nation’s agricultural universities.
He declared that his administration would keep giving specialised universities and institutes with ties to agriculture the assistance they need to carry out their missions.Although he agreed that Nigeria had many different issues, he insisted that he was working hard to find solutions.
