COP28: Tinubu Unveils Plan To Deploy Fleet Of 100 Electric Buses

President Bola Tinubu claims that by announcing a ground-breaking proposal to install a fleet of 100 electric buses, Nigeria is making a significant step towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future.

At a high-level meeting with investors and stakeholders on the Nigeria Carbon Market and Electric Buses Rollout Programme on Saturday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on the sidelines of the COP28 climate summit, the President revealed this.

As part of a bigger campaign to position Nigeria and Africa as the leading frontiers of green manufacturing and industrialization, Tinubu said that the strategic project intends to modernise Nigeria’s transport networks and considerably reduce the country’s carbon footprint.
