We Have Put Measures In Place To Check Malpractices – NECO Registrar

In the current 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for external candidates, certain steps have been implemented to combat the threat of examination misconduct, according to Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, Registrar/Chief Executive of the National Examination Council, NECO.

In a statement, Azeez Sani, the Council’s Acting Director of Information and Digital Communication, asked the 74,819 candidates taking the exam to avoid cheating.

NECO Exams Begin July 5, As Registration Period Will Not Be Extended

The statement said, “The Registrar who is on a nationwide monitoring of the examination has put in place necessary measures to ensure that the examination is seamless.

“Reports received from the various centres across the country indicated that the examination is going on smoothly.”

The 2023 SSCE External will conclude on December 20, 2023, having begun on Monday, November 20, 2023.

The candidates will take tests in twenty-nine different areas.
