Bombs Should Be Dropped on Terrorists, Not Civilians – Shehu Sani React Over Kaduna Community Airstrike

The military attack that killed people in Tudun Biri village, Kaduna State, has drawn harsh criticism from former federal legislator Shehu Sani, who said that the bombs should have been dropped on terrorists, not civilians.

The bombing on Sunday, which took place when the people were celebrating Maulud in honour of Prophet Muhammad, was officially confirmed as the Nigerian Army’s fault.

Using his X platform, Sani sharply denounced the attack, stating, “Over 150 people were reported murdered in the Kaduna area where explosives were dropped on religious congregations. A sad, horrible, and unacceptable deed. It is appropriate to drop these bombs on terrorists rather than civilians.

Acknowledging the occurrence, the Kaduna State government explained that although the Army was on a routine mission against terrorists, it unintentionally impacted community residents.

As a result, the government launched an instant inquiry into the events leading up to the airstrike.

The Kaduna State administration has directed that those injured be evacuated right away to the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in order to receive emergency medical care in response to the aftermath.
