The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, paid a visit to the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing plants in Nnewi on December 5, 2023, in a show of solidarity and support for the thriving automotive industry.
During the comprehensive factory tour, Governor Soludo took a firsthand look at the impressive strides being made by Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) at its Uru Umudim facility, where a variety of vehicles are manufactured. His Excellency expressed admiration for the state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the high quality of IVM vehicles.
The highlight of the visit was the inspection of the ongoing construction at the IVM expansion site in Umuezena. This expansion is set to house the production units for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), and heavy-duty vehicles. Governor Soludo praised the visionary approach of Innoson Vehicles in diversifying its production capabilities, aligning with modern automotive trends.

Governor Soludo, addressing the people, assured the IVM team of the unwavering support of the Anambra State Government in promoting and sustaining the growth of the indigenous automotive industry. The Governor expressed confidence that the expansion would not only generate employment opportunities but also contribute significantly to the economic development of the state.
Dr. Innocent Chukwuma the Chairman and CEO of Innoson Vehicles, expressed immense gratitude over the Governor’s visit and thanked him for being the Chief Marketer of Innoson Vehicles. He promised to keep producing high quality vehicles for the African market.
In a collaborative spirit, the TC Chair of Nnewi North Local Government, Engr. Chris Obiora, commended the remarkable achievements of Innoson Vehicles and encouraged the public to embrace and patronize locally manufactured vehicles. The Chair highlighted the positive impact of supporting homegrown industries on the community and the nation at large.
