According to Tajudeen Abbas, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the 2024 budget will be approved on Saturday, December 30, 2023.
Tuesday’s plenary session of the House was reopened by Abbas with this announcement.
This occurred while he was delivering a message to several House committees from the Committee on Appropriations, instructing them to complete and turn in their reports on the defence of the government’s budget by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
Other budget-related tasks like processing, harmonisation, and compilation, in his opinion, would occur in between.
