Eleven Supreme Court judges’ names have been formally sent by Bola Tinubu to the Senate for the necessary confirmation and screening procedure.
The president’s proposal was made known in a letter to Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, and was discussed in the plenary on Wednesday, December 20.

President Tinubu stated in the letter that the proposal complies with section 231(2) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution (as amended). The following nominees for the nation’s highest court are suggested for confirmation and eventual appointment:
