The free rail journey for Nigerians has been extended by the federal government till Sunday, January 7, 2024.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, President Bola Tinubu approved the nationwide free rail trips in celebration of the holiday, which will run from December 21, 2023, until January 4, 2024.
Additionally, Tinubu said that during Yuletide, the federal government will pay 50% of the transportation costs for anyone travelling across the nation’s interstate roads.

At the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Minister of Solid Minerals Development Dele Alake revealed this to State House media during a briefing.
He claimed that the transport minister, the bus proprietors who live in luxury, and the transport unions had worked out all the details of the implementation.
