Nollywood star Yul Edochie has received warnings from Facebook user Wisdom Nwdene over the implications of demanding the bridal price of his estranged wife, May.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Yul made this demand the day after accusing May of having breast augmentation surgery without his permission following the death of their first son in 2023.
But the actor asked May to take his surname off of her name going forward in a follow-up post on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

He questioned why, in light of her divorce filing, May has not yet removed his name.
In response to Edochie’s outburst, Nwedene made reference to the Ebonyi State custom of returning the bride fee.
According to him, asking for May’s bride price would mean forfeiting the children because her family will have full custody of them.
The movie star was warned by Nwedene to use caution, but he doesn’t want the kids with May.
Wisdom went on to explain that May’s chosen partner for marriage will be the father of the children she bears for Yul.

He said, “Anyone close to Yul Edochie should tell him that in Ebonyi State, once Family members return bride price, the children is no longer his own.
“And any man that comes to marry May will automatically own his children. That’s the tradition in Ebonyi State and he should trend with caution except he doesn’t want the children he had with May.”
