The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, has been suspended from her office by Bola Tinubu.

In addition, Tinubu directed the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to launch a thorough inquiry into all financial dealings involving the Federal Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Humanitarian Affairs, as well as any related organisations.
