In response to the continuous terrorist attacks in Plateau State and other parts of the nation, the Christian Association of Nigeria led protests on Monday.

Several prominent Christian leaders in the state are supporting the protest, called the “Plateau Peace Walk,” including the state’s CAN chairman, Rev. Polycarp Lubo; the presidents of ECWA and COCIN, Rev. Amos Mohzo and Stephen Baba Panya; the bishop of the Methodist Church, Jos, Rev. Nkechi Nwosu; and the president of the Gideon and Funmi-ParaMallam Peace Foundation, Rev. Dr. Gideon ParaMallam.

It is noteworthy that Anaedoonline.ng04 previously covered the Christmas Eve attacks in Bokkos and the surrounding Plateau State districts, which sadly resulted in the deaths of over 140 people.

The federal government’s response to these attacks has mostly consisted of expressing sympathy to the victims and making political pronouncements. But no real action has been done to hold the perpetrators of these heinous crimes accountable.

To express their displeasure with the current state of security, the protesters started the peace walk at the PRTVC Roundabout in Jos and marched to the Rayfield Government House.
