Some irate party members have planned a protest in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, in response to the Supreme Court’s order validating Governor Abdullahi Sule of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the election.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters lit tyres on fire in front of the state secretariat to create a barricade on Lafia-Jos Road, resulting in a complete obstruction of the road.

Vanguard learned that drivers in the state capital of Lafia were forced to look for alternate routes as a result of the protest.

At the same time, stores, offices, and educational institutions in the city of Lafia have all unexpectedly closed, maybe as a preventative measure in response to the ongoing protest.

Following the Supreme Court’s ruling, PDP supporters in Nasarawa stage a protest and block roads.

Recall that the Court of Appeal’s earlier ruling, which declared Governor Sule’s election void, was upheld by the Supreme Court, as reported by Newsmen.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) member Governor Sule was declared the victor of the state’s March 18, 2023, gubernatorial election by the five-member apex court, which ruled in favour of the proclamation.
