Tinubu Returns to Nigeria After 13 Days of Private Visit to France

Following a private trip to France, Bola Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former governor of Lagos State, landed in Nigeria on Tuesday night.

He was greeted at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja by a few of his appointees as well as other senior officials.

As per the January 24 statement sent by his media office, Mr. Tinubu was anticipated to return to the nation around the “first week of February.”

The statement stated he will take advantage of the time to recover and think about national concerns, but it did not reveal the reason for his vacation to France.

A video of his arrival showed him exchanging pleasantries with the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, among others.
