At all official and public events, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a directive requiring the National Pledge to be recited obligatorily after the National Anthem.

The statement was made at the Renewed Hope City project’s groundbreaking event in Karsana, Abuja, where the president highlighted the need of honouring fundamental principles and paying respect to national symbols.

Tinubu emphasised the necessity of upholding Nigeria’s goals and unity while stressing the significance of cherishing its cultural heritage.

During the event, he stated, “Before I left home this morning, I asked for a printout of the National Pledge, and we have to relaunch it again at this event. The relaunch is about being committed to the values, greatness, and hope of our country. It is our pledge to Nigeria, our country, to be faithful, loyal, and honest.
