Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, has declared that if Ukraine joins NATO, it will be the equivalent of a full-scale nuclear conflict.

In a video speech marking the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Putin revealed this.

Remember how NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Ukraine will be welcomed into the alliance to support its defence against Russia’s unwarranted aggression? That information was provided by Parallel Facts.

Russia-Ukraine: NATO Speaks On Going To War With Russia

Reacting, Putin said, “I want to stress it one more time; I’ve been saying it, but I’d very much want you to finally hear me and to deliver it to your audience in print, TV and online. Do you understand or not that if Ukraine joins NATO and attempts to bring Crimea back to military means, the European countries will be automatically pulled into war with Russia? Of course, NATO and Russia’s potentials are incomparable, we understand it.

“But we also understand that Russia is one of the leading nuclear states, and by some modern components, it even outperforms many. There will be no winner. And you will be pulled into this conflict against your will. You won’t even have time to blink an eye when you execute Article 5 (Collective defence of NATO Members). Mr. President Macron, of course, doesn’t want this. And I don’t want it, which is why he is here, torturing me for six straight hours.”

NATO countries have been announcing billion-dollar aid packages in the last few days and weeks. These packages include vital supplies like artillery ammunition, air defence systems, combat boats, F-16 aircraft, spare parts, drones, and demining gear.

Secretary General Stoltenberg stated that more assistance will be provided soon.

In retrospect, Stoltenberg said that Putin started the war in order to obstruct NATO’s growth and Ukraine’s path towards independence. However, the result has ironically brought Ukraine closer than ever to NATO.

NATO’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s military forces and promoting interoperability with member states was emphasised by Stoltenberg.
