Terrorists Burn Ifesinachi Luxury Bus, As 59 Passengers Narrowly Escape Death

On the Ijebu-Ode-Benin motorway, about fifty-nine people only missed disaster when a suspected terrorist attacked, plundered and then lit their Ifesinachi Motors bus on fire.

At Oke Ado Junction, Ijebu Imushin, the passengers—who were on their way to celebrate Easter in the southeast—came under attack.

Through a statement provided by SP Omolola Odutola, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), the Ogun State Police Command confirmed the event.

The PPRO reports that a luxury Mercedes Benz bus operated by Ifesinachi Transport Ltd caught fire and was completely destroyed at Oke Ado junction in Ijebu Mushin.

SP Odutola stated, “It happened in Oke Ado junction at Ijebu Mushin. A luxury bus of Mercedes Benz was burnt down.

“The vehicle was coming from Maza Maza before it encountered the hoodlums. No reference to gun was made. They (the hoodlums) carried cutlasses.

“The 59-seater bus was said to be operated by Ifesinachi Transport Ltd,” he added.

In the midst of the chaos, social media influencer Chude Nnamdi shared a harrowing account from one of the passengers.

The passenger recounted, “Ifesinachi Motors, we were travelling in the night to come back to the East for Easter celebration, and criminals attacked us in Ijebu Ode along Ore/Benin expressway.

“They robbed us of everything we had, some they stripped half-naked.

“They locked us inside the 59-seater luxury bus and set it ablaze. We thank God that we later escaped; nobody died, but everything we had was collected.

“We thank God that we didn’t lose anyone, but we lost everything we were travelling with and some sustained injuries.

“This is Ifesinachi Motors that we are travelling with on Friday night, and this attack happened around 2 am,” he disclosed.
