The Lagos State Police Command has clarified that, contrary to what certain media outlets have stated, it was DJ Commissioner Wysei who was detained, not DJ Switch.
On Thursday, rumours circulated that DJ Switch had been detained and brought before the Eti Osa magistrate court on charges of violence and fraud.
Police, however, now claim that there was a mix-up.

SP Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin provided the clarification on Thursday and acknowledged that he was the cause of the confusion that resulted in false reports.
After providing prior confirmation, Hundeyin expressed regret for the disruptions caused to the media outlets, which included Lindaikeji, the BBC, and TVC.
DJ Switch was also apologised to by the command.
“There is a mixup from our end. Arrested person is DJ Commissioner Wysei not DJ Switch.
“Apologies for all inconveniences to a few media outfits like Lindaikeji, BBC and TVC that I gave confirmation this morning.
Apologies to DJ Switch too. ”

Obianuju Catherine Udeh, also known as DJ Switch, refuted rumours that she had been detained in Lagos, according to Anaedoonline.ng.
DJ Switch said in a post on X that the allegations were untrue and that the authors were trying to damage her reputation.
She also declared that she will sue the people who started the fake news.
”I was woken up by a barrage of calls and text this morning. I wondered why because I know today is not my birthday. Only to find that I, have been arrested,” she wrote.
