Tinubu And Shettima Absence Puts Nigeria On Autopilot – Atiku

The simultaneous absence of President Bola Tinubu and his deputy, Kashim Shettima, from the country has been characterised as unprecedented by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, particularly in light of the difficult problems the country is currently facing.

According to Atiku, he has been deluged with news regarding the President and Vice President’s departure from the nation.

Atiku stated that it might be accurate to believe that the nation is operating automatically in a post on his X handle on Monday.

He said: “I have been inundated by reports of the absence of the president and vice president from the country. It is unprecedented that the two leaders will be absent from the country at the same time, especially now that the nation is faced with daunting challenges. The question that readily comes to mind is who is in charge of government at this point, or is it right to assume that we are on autopilot?”.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Tinubu has not yet arrived in Nigeria, six days after attending the Special World Economic Forum WEF conference. This suggests that Shettima’s departure to the US for the US-Africa Business Summit has left a leadership void at the country’s capital.
