In a bid to address the significant outflow of funds caused by residents’ consumption of beer from other states, the Benue State Government is set to embark on the establishment of its own brewery. This ambitious project, spearheaded by the Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), aims not only to retain capital within the state but also to provide high-quality, locally-produced beer to its citizens.

Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, the Managing Director of BIPC, recently unveiled plans for this pioneering initiative during a press briefing. He highlighted the alarming statistics that propelled this decision, revealing that Benue residents currently spend a staggering N850 million monthly on beer sourced from outside the state.
