Former Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika Granted Bail in Alleged Fraud Case

A Federal High Court in Abuja has approved bail for ex-Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika, his daughter, and two others implicated in a ₦2.7 billion fraud case. The bail, set at ₦100 million each with two sureties, requires the sureties to possess landed properties in Abuja and demonstrate responsible citizenship. Additionally, they must submit affidavits of means. The court has also barred the defendants from international travel without prior authorization, with Justice Oriji warning of remand in prison for non-compliance with bail conditions.

The charges, filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), include six counts against Sirika, his daughter, and two co-defendants.
