Forfeit The Idea Of Livestock Ministry In South East – BRGIE To FG

The establishment of the Livestock Development Ministry has been denied by the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, led by Simon Ekpa.

This remark was made just hours after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday declared the establishment of the Livestock Development Ministry.

Reactions to the development have been varied across the nation.

Dr. Reuben Abati joined the group of those urging the Nigerian government to abandon the concept during the Arise TV Morning Show on Wednesday.

Ekpa posted a criticism of the ministry’s formation on X, admonishing readers not to send it into Biafra territory.

He scowled at how quickly Tinubu’s administration established and gave priority to the Livestock Ministry.

It warned that Biafra land should not be included in the scheme of things regarding the Livestock Development Ministry.

“If you create it in any Biafra territory, we will not allow it. Do not include Biafra territory in your so-called livestock.

“The Fulanis called for the creation on June 23rd, 2024 and the President prioritized it by creating the ministry on July 9, 2024, in less than a month.

“We will not accept anything associated with it in Biafraland,” he said.

Remember how the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, or MACBAN, urged Tinubu to establish a Livestock Development Ministry in June of last year?

Outside of the Ekpa-led BRGIE, Nigerians have questioned the Ministry’s significance in light of the country’s desire to reduce the high expense of governance.

Financial analyst Kalu Aja, for example, disapproved of the ministry’s establishment and claimed that the administration was more concerned with winning reelection than with maintaining fiscal restraint.

Under the auspices of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria, farmers declared on Wednesday that disputes between farmers and herders would cease with the establishment of the Livestock Ministry.

Nigeria currently has 50 ministries in all as a result of the Ministry’s establishment, adding to the weight of ongoing expenses.
