Yemi Alade and Teni, two Nigerian artists, have attacked President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, as students throughout the nation continue to stay at home owing to the long-running Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike.
ASUU initiated a one-month warning strike on February 14, 2022, which was extended by two months on March 14 owing to unresolved discussions.
Meanwhile, ASUU and the Buhari-led administration have met multiple times, but no deal on ending the strike has been reached.

Despite the ongoing ASUU strike, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, Minister of State for Education, recently purchased the All Progressive Congress presidential nomination form for N100 million, causing a stir online.
Lamenting over the ordeal of the Nigerian students, Yemi Alade and Teni, in a post shared on the microblogging platform Twitter, opined that the Buhari Government had failed the citizens.
Yemi Alade wrote: Our government has failed us, students are still at home.
