According to ANAEDOONLINE.NG, a one-story structure on Udensi Street in Abakaliki has been destroyed by fire.
The fire, which began at 1.30 p.m. on Friday, has devastated several tenants of the impacted building.
According to sources, the incident was caused by a surge in the voltage of the area’s energy supply, which occurred intermittently between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. prior to the disaster.
Mr Onuigbo, one of the burnt-out tenants, claimed the severity of the fire prevented him from retrieving any of his possessions from the structure.
