Sam Amadi, a former chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has threatened to sue Femi Fani-Kayode, the spokesperson for the Bola Tinubu presidential campaign council.
In a libel letter sent to Fani-Kayode, Amadi accused him of lying against him and degrading his character in a tweet.
In a tweet, Fani-Kayode said that Amadi utilized the image of Nigeria’s Chief Justice in a wheelchair and stated that he was on his way to see the President-elect in the United Kingdom.

He wrote, “Creatures like one Sam Amadi who used the CJN’s picture in a wheelchair & claimed he was on his way to see the President-elect in the UK for a meeting about the 2023 presidential election should not only be invited by the DSS & NPF, investigated & charged to court for defamation, criminal falsehood and incitement but they should also have pictures of their ugly faces printed on toilet paper & used to clean dirty but-holes.”
Amadi, on the other hand, maintained that in a post on his Twitter account, he never stated that the CJN met with Tinubu.
He demanded that Fani-Kayode apologize for his slanderous remarks and delete the tweet from his Twitter account.
