The State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, dismissed the Commissioner for Labour and Productivity, Ford Ozumba, on Saturday, amid a standoff between the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Imo State Government.
Declan Emelumba, the Commissioner for Information, signed and made this declaration available to journalists.
The elimination, as gathered by ANAEDOONLINE.NG, is effective immediately.
According to reports, the governor asked Ozumba to immediately give over the essential paperwork to the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Productivity.
No reason was given for the sack but some sources say it may not be unconnected with the ongoing impasse between the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) led by Joe Ajaero and the Imo State Government.
