EPL: ALEX IWOBI FEATURES AS BRIGHTON/ARSENAL GAME ENDS

Brighton Hove Albion continued their strong home display in the ongoing 2018/2019 premier league season as they held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at the Amex stadium yesterday, Anaedoonline.com reports.

The Seagulls, who has only lost twice at home this season started Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun at the heart of its defence, while Alex Iwobi was named on the substitute bench.

Gabonese international Pierre Emerick Aubameyang netted his 12th goal of the season after he beat offside set by Balogun and put Gunners ahead in the 7th minutes.

Locadia restored parity in the 35th minute and gave Brighton an element of hope going into the locker room.

The Second Half resumed with the Gunners boss Unai Emery introducing Iwobi in place of Mesut Ozil but that had little impact as the game ended in a draw.

Meanwhile, since Murray joined the injury list, Leon Balogun has become a regular starter for the club.

The draw has helped Chelsea to lead Arsenal with two points as the Gunners are paced 5th on the log with 38 points in 19 games.

Brighton, on the other hand, maintained their 13th position with 22 points.
