Anambra State Govt. Takes Sanitation Campaign To Nnewi (Photos)

Anambra State Government has urged Nnewi residents to keep their environment clean with or without close monitoring from authorities.

Speaking during the Environmental Action Campaign for Nnewi, which held today, Saturday, 27th July, 2019, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Nkwoka Stanley, said that the sanitation program tagged “Operation Dobe Anambra Ocha” was organised to sensitize Ndi Anambra on the need to support the state government’s plan to ensure healthy and a cleaner State.


According to him, the Operation DOBE ANAMBRA OCHA was an initiative of the new Commissioner of Environment, Mr. Obi Nwankwo, which was targeted at mobilizing Anambrains to keep their environment clean.

He said that the campaign was taken to Nnewi to urge residents to clean their drains, bag their waste and dispose them at the approved points, cut grasses around their environment and also to involve in other sanitation practices.

He called on the youths, the elderly and all Nnewi residents to join hands in keeping Nnewi and Anambra State clean.
