Rare Photos of Goodluck Jonathan as an Undergraduate in 1977 and as a Corper in 1982

Former President Goodluck Jonathan finished from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers state. He finished in 1981 with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology.
Subsequently, he did his Master of Science degree in Hydrobiology and Fisheries from the same school in 1985. Later, he did his Doctorate degree in Zoology in 1995 from UNIPORT.

The former President served at Ebekun Secondary Commercial Grammar School, Iresi, Osun State 38 years ago.

Goodluck Jonathan was a former President of Nigeria between 2010-2015, former Vice-President from 2007-2010, former Governor of Bayelsa from 2005-2007 and former Deputy Governor from 1999-2005. This shows that he was in power for 17 years rising as a deputy Governor to the President of the country.

He lost the 2015 presidential election to former military ruler Muhammadu Buhari thereby becoming the first incumbent president to concede electoral defeat in the country.

Jonathan was born on 20 November 1957. He is married to Patience Jonathan. He worked as an education inspector, a lecturer and an environmental-protection officer before entering into politics.

Unknown to Bako, the coup was leaked to Shagari and his guards were on high alert.

He was killed while attempting to arrest the president during the December 31, 1983, military coup that brought Major-General Muhammadu Buhari to power.
