Hypocrisy Is Corruption (2)

The World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC)
explicitly stated social distancing, quarantine and self isolation are all keys to reducing the
spread of Covid-19 which seems to be overwhelming morden medicine.

Social distancing, also called physical distancing, is a set of non-pharmaceutical interventions or measures taken to prevent the spread of a contagious disease by keeping a distance of six feet or two meters from others and avoiding gathering together in large groups according to Wikipedia.

President Buhari in his broadcast on the 14th of April 2020 extended lockdown in Lagos State, FCT and Ogun State so as to check the spread of the ravaging covid-19 coronavirus.
Prior to this the Minister for Information Alhaji Lai Mohammed on 3rd April 2020 already stated families of dead cases can’t claim their remains.

These now exposes the brazen reality of the Nigeria government Hypocrisy. Let’s remember corruption is a form of dishonesty or criminal offense undertaken by a person or organization entrusted with a position of authority, to acquire illicit benefit or abuse power for one’s private gain while hypocrisy is the practice of engaging in the same behavior or activity for which one criticizes another.

It’s unbearable that a government that rode on the change mantra to assume power have not only failed to provide leadership, but have become a nuisance to the people.

How can the Federal Government display such insensitity allowing crowds to cluster during the burial of Chief of Staff Abba Kyari? Choosing to bury Abba Kyari could be excused because of the position he held in government, not observing social distancing is really callous. A lot of Nigerians have been arrested, some shot dead because they allegedly violated the stay at home order.

The Igwe of Ojoto town in Anambra State had to enforce government directive, he gate crashed a lot of events insisting and enforcing stipulated guides like social distance, maximum limit of persons be maintained or the event will be called off. In good faith he enforced the new rule to protect his people.

The crowd at the late Chief of Staff burial is an indictment on the Federal Government. Nigerians now view through an Orwellian lens.

The Buhari led FG has time and time again proven hypocrisy is headquartered in Nigeria.
President Buhari could decide to live by example, staying in Nigeria for medical treatments
would spur him to equip our government owned hospitals and health facilities, but then how would he when he could easily blame Herbert Macaulay and every other person but himself.

Why would he, when he has the airforce one at his beck and call to fly him to London when he sneezes.

How can one explain to Nigerians how school feeding programme will continue despite closure of schools?

How? Funke Akindele and her husband JJC were deservedly arrested and prosecuted for hosting aparty in their estate despite government directive. Who will arrest the Abuja defaulters?

Our government have refused to live by example. Favouritism is endemic, its aids corruption and displays hypocrisy. All animals are equal but some are more equal than the others.
