Buhari, Osinbajo Present As APC NEC Meeting Commence

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo have arrived at the Executive Council Chambers of the State House to attend the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.

The arrival of Buhari and Osinbajo signalled the commencement of the APC NEC meeting.

16 Governors, National Assembly leaders as well as some national and state party executive members are also present at the meeting.

Anaedoonline.com reports that Governors of Nasarawa, Niger, Jigawa, Plateau, Imo, Kogi, Yobe, Gombe, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Kwara, Kebbi, Kano and Ekiti are some of those present.

This online news platform had earlier reported that the Acting National Chairman of the APC, Chief Victor Giadom, and the National Deputy Chairman, Lawal Shuaibu attended the meeting.

Others at the meeting are the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Idris Wase, the House majority leader, Hassan Dogowa and the Deputy Chief Whip, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Nnenna Ukeje.

Surprisingly, some members of the Oshiomhole faction of the party have also been sighted at the venue of the meeting. They include Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and the Deputy Majority Leader of House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Peterson Akpatason.

Membership of the National Executive Committee (NEC) includes the; National Chairman, Deputy National Chairman (North), Deputy National Chairman (South), National Secretary, Deputy National Secretary, Six National Vice Chairmen, National Legal Adviser, Deputy National Legal Adviser, National Treasurer, Deputy National Treasurer, National Financial Secretary, Deputy National Financial Secretary, National Organising Secretary, Deputy National Organising Secretary, National Publicity Secretary, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, National Welfare Secretary, Deputy National Welfare Secretary, National Auditor, Deputy National Auditor, National Women Leader, Deputy National Women Leader and National Youth Leader.

Others include: Deputy National Youth Leader, Special (Physically Challenged) Leader, Zonal Secretary, Zonal Youth Leader, Zonal Organising Secretary, Zonal Women Leader, States’ Chairmen of the party, President, Vice President, Senate President, Deputy Senate President, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Governors, Majority or Minority Leader, Party Whip and their Deputies in the Senate and the House of Representatives, two serving senators from each geo-political zone, three members of the House of Representatives from each geo-political zone, six Ex-Officio members from each geo-political zone, serving Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT).
